Press release: H.E. Prak Sokhonn briefs diplomatic corps on implementation of the Kualar Lumpur Joint Declaration
On 8 November 2025, Deputy Prime Minister PRAK Sokhonn held a diplomatic briefing to update the Diplomatic Corps accredited to the Kingdom of Cambodia on the implementation of the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration between Cambodia and Thailand. This Declaration, signed on 26 October 2025, provides a basis for rebuilding trust, peace, and cooperation. Key priority areas include the release of Cambodian soldiers, the withdrawal of heavy weapons, humanitarian demining, the peaceful settlement of boundary issues, cooperation in combating transnational crimes, and the normalization of diplomatic relations. Cambodia reaffirmed its commitment to transforming the border into a zone of peace and its appreciation to Malaysia, the United States, China, and all friends and partners for their support in realizing the ceasefire and the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration
